Cavalry (43 officers and 1,303 men)

In garrison in Magdeburg

Regular infantry (90 officers and 2,885 men)

Magdeburgischen Land-Regiment Alt-Wegnern (10 officers and 772 men in 7 coys)

Landmiliz-Regiment Jung-Wegnern (38 officers and 2,300 men in 3 bns)

N.B.: 2 bns of the Kurmark Land Militia Regiment von Borck had been sent from Magdeburg to Altmark by Ferdinand of Brunswick at the end of September. The third bn was not yet completed.

N.B.: the remnants of the Garrison Regiment IX de La Motte, who had defended Geldern, finally reached Magdeburg on October 4. On the way, most soldiers had deserted.
