Origin and History

The regiment was raised on August 1, 1759 as Both Infantry Battalion from one company of Alt-Zülow Infantry, 2 companies of Jung-Zülow Infantry and the men fit for duty from Alt-Dömitz Battalion.

In 1760 the regiment was augmented to 8 companies.
