Summary

Russian modified M1731 mitre cap of the Belozerskiy Infantry regiment grenadier officer. This mitre belonged to a junior officer. It is made of five pieces of cloth instead of the usual four pieces. Furthermore, the read part of its headband is unusually high.

Illustration made by Roman Shlygin based on image that is now in open source. The specimen from the Memorial museum of A.V.Suvorov dated 1743-1757 has 30 cm tall frontplate and is 18 cm in diameter.
