Sketch of the Tri Ierarkha, a typical 66-gun ship built according to the Shipbuilding Regulations and launched in 1766.
Please note that, although most 66-guns ship of the Russian navy had a displacement of approx. 1,200 metric tons, the ship illustrated here had a displacement of a little more than 1,100 metric tons. Contemporaries mention that she looked more "elegant" or "gracious" than other 66-gunners.
