In 1747, Prussia had concluded a defensive alliance with Sweden against Russia. Meanwhile, Sweden had renewed its subsidy agreement with France.
The reversal of alliances of 1756 led Sweden to abandon its alliance with Prussia and to side with France. |
Trade | A company had been created to trade with India. In 1750, this company was nationalized with the help of merchants from Stockholm and Göteborg. It was generally recognized as one of the best business of the country. Contrarily to British, Dutch and French similar companies, it had no permanent counter in India. |
