Origin and History
The frigate was built by Henry Adamsat Bucklers Hard and launched on May 20 1757.
During the Seven Years' War, the frigate was under the command of:
- in 1759: captain Francis Burslem
The frigate was captured by the French on January 12 1783.
Service during the War
On November 19 1759, as Hawke was pursuing the French fleet who had escaped from Brest, he ordered the frigate ahead of the fleet. On November 20, the frigate was at the victorious battle of Quiberon.
